Force CT is a tomography device with capabilities of motion freezing and 4D imaging.Movements of the patient can cause blurring in image quality while images of computerized tomography are acquired. Force CT can minimize blurs and movement-related artifacts in obese, old and unconscious individuals.
This device enables early diagnosis of many diseases, including small or occult lesions primarily in lungs, heart and kidneys. It can be used for scanning children, elderly and obese patients or those who move involuntarily during the test due to abnormal mental status.A contrast medium is administered before the scan to acquire more clear images of the organs. Patients are generally asked to drink water that contains the contrast medium before the scan. Or contrast medium can be administered intravenously if the physician deems necessary. Patients may also be instructed to stop eating and drinking for a certain period of time before the imaging.
